Spring Clean-Up

Update: We've changed the date to April 29. Now you have more time to get your items pulled together!

Help keep Pantego — and your garage — beautiful by clearing out limbs and brush, bulky items like unwanted furniture, and general debris. Household hazardous waste will also be accepted but often reaches capacity as early as 10:00 a.m. This includes items like batteries, paint, solvents, yard and pool chemicals, and other items that should never be disposed of in curbside trash due to their potential to pollute soil and groundwater.

This cleanup is for Pantego residents only and is ‘first-come, first-served’. Please bring your driver’s license. Staff will be on-hand to help unload items. The event will end at 1:00 p.m. (or earlier if the container reaches capacity).
 
Items that will not be accepted:

• Medical waste, pills, or needles
• Electronics and smoke detectors
• Tires of any size
• Ammunition or explosives
• Butane or propane cylinders
• Freon appliances
• Hazardous or regulated material (e.g., asbestos, lead paint, and mercury thermostats)

This cleanup event is a great opportunity to remove any limbs that overhang the street. Such limbs are against Town Code because of their ability to impede or cause costly damage to fire trucks. No branch or growth can overhang a street lower than fourteen (14) feet or a sidewalk lower than seven (7) feet (§12.08.004).
