Solid Waste & Recycling
SOLID WASTE pickup is contracted with a private company.  Trash is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays except when the regularly-scheduled collection date falls on a holiday.  On those days the garbage will be picked up on the next regularly-scheduled collection day.

You are allowed to place trash bags on the curb for pickup.  Please do not put your trash out earlier than on the collection day.  However, it should be on the curb by 7:00 a.m. for collection.

For missed collection or service issues call, 817-317-2000.

Tree limbs and brush will be picked up if neatly stacked and bundled.  Bundles should not exceed 4 feet in length and 50 pounds of total weight per pick-up day.  The solid waste company can accommodate two to three bundles per pick-up.

Grass clippings will not be collected.  Please ask your yard service (if you use one) to sweep up the clippings back onto your yard for mulch, rather than blow them onto the street.  According to our code book, you could be fined for grass clippings in the street.

RECYCLING is collected on Tuesdays except for holidays.  It is then delayed until the following Tuesday.

By 7 a.m. on Tuesday, place all approved containers in your green recycle bin and put on your curb or in your alley for pickup. Do not set out newspapers if it is raining or rain is in the forecast.

Pantego does not have a Household Hazardous Waste facility at this time, but has an agreement with the City of Fort Worth to allow residents to drop off their hazardous waste. You must first obtain a voucher from Town Hall in the amount of $50.00. This is good for one trip a year per address. The Town will offer free hazardous waste drop off at Town Hall during our Spring Clean-Up Day.
